New music video for ‘Ghost Around’

This video was shot and edited in one afternoon with the help of my neighbour Guy Lankester, who luckily didn’t really know what he was doing with my camera. This was perfect as I wanted it to be shaky and nicely out of focus in places to suit the mood of the song. The location is Walthamstow Marshes in east London.

It’s the first time I have ever edited a video before and my old PC was gently creaking under the strain… but I really enjoyed making it. A moment to remember was the park warden trying to get all passive aggressive on me about what I was up too… He soon gave up and went away after I told him I was taking my typewriter for a walk and asked if he wanted to help out.

This track is on my recently released 5th studio album ‘From The Ground Up’ which I really should tell more people about. Candy Parfitt is on backing vocals and I’m doing all the rest.

Filming with Ronnie Le Drew

Robin and Ronnie copy

I had the most wonderful day yesterday making a music video down by the river for a new track about climate change called ‘Leave It In The Ground’.

Once again I was working with the amazing puppeteer Ronnie Le Drew, along with the dream team of Alex Swinfen and David Kaplowitz who helped me make my last video for David Cameron.

We have a few more days of filming to go and I look forward to sharing it with you soon.

The #fuckoffbacktoEton video is now live!

my music is now on iLicenseMusic

I have always had a lot of time for John Buckman, the man behind Magnatune so I am really happy to be getting involved in his newest venture, iLicenseMusic.

You can see my page on the site here – http://ilicensemusic.com/g/Alt%20Rock/Robin%20Grey …and yes, of course I am ‘alt-rock’ …how dare you suggest otherwise!

iLicenseMusic provides royalty free music can be reuse and distribute in pretty much any project. A £89 monthly fee gives complete access to the entire catalog, which seems like a good deal to me and John always makes sure a good chunk of that money gets to the creators and musicians.
