‘stir’ magazine launch at unpackaged

STIR is an excellent website and magazine that is well worth a read and unpackaged is a shop I love, selling loads of lovely loose goods including the jumbo oats I have for breakfast every day.

These two are combining next week for STIR’s summer edition magazine launch and I will joining them, singing a few songs around 7pm. Do come if you are in the area, see flyer below for more details.

My friend Naomi wrote a lovely article for STIR which can be found online here – http://stirtoaction.com/low-carbon-future/. She is super inspiring and it is a good piece which I highly commend to your eyes and brain.

old song, new friends

There has recently been a flurry of interest in my track ‘Hackney Gentrification Song’ with local publications N16 Magazine, Dalston TV and Hackney Post all giving it virtual shout outs.

It has also come to the attention of the film crew making ESTATE, a non-fiction feature film about a Hackney estate which is soon to be bulldozed. You can find out more about the film here and have a look at the ‘behind the scenes’ section of the site which uses my song.

Music studio space available in Dalston, Hackney

I am looking for someone to share my lovely music studio in Dalston Culture House next to the Vortex, N16 8JN.

It would suit someone who needs a teaching, recording or practice space for solo or small ensemble work.

Ideally you would want to use the space 1 – 2.5 days a week and be up for paying £70-£150 towards the costs

Happy days

Hackney Library have corrected the misspelling of my album on their systems 🙂

I was in there yesterday and moved the cd to the front of the stack on the shelf so that it wasn’t masked by Green Day!!

Reserve ‘Only The Missile’ at Hackney Central Library here.
