I have had ‘make a music video’ on my to do list for ages now – one of the things holding me back is that quite a few people seem to be doing it for me.
This video got sent to me this morning and it made me happy – i have no idea who they are but i love the amount of smiling going on!

One of my new years resolutions is to record more youtube covers. It is a fun thing to do and quite a few folks seem to find my music after stumbling upon me singing other peoples songs.
To kick things off, here is a nocturnal cover of ’81 by Joanna Newsom shot in my little house boat:

Ukulele lessons can be so much fun… worth noting that John was convinced he was never going to be able to play when he had his first lesson nearly a year ago now.
It is so distressing how many people have that silly ‘i can’t play music’ voice stuck permanently in their heads and so much fun helping them to overpower it.

I did a gig last weekend at the Hideaway in Archway for a lovely lady called Shireen who runs the ‘Mighty Ukuele’ website.
